Locally grown rice, cooked in dozens of different ways, is very much the specialty of the region and you’ll find plenty of hearty rice dishes in every restaurant in town, such as Arroz Negro, made with squid and its ink.

Probably the most popular item on the menu is Paella, served for sharing in a large pan. There are several Paella varieties made with seafood, meat or vegetables.

Paella Valencia is a fish based Paella and famous local dish. Also be sure to try Fideuá, a kind of paella but made with pasta instead of rice

Desserts

Try freshly picked orchard fruits for a light dessert, served alone or with ice cream.

Amadi is a deliciously sweet pudding made with pumpkin and finally … Creamy Arroz con Leche (rice pudding) made in the traditional way is a must have during your stay.
